Position Summary: The Department of Theater and Performance Studies is seeking a Production Manager. The Production Manager will work under the general supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations. The Production Manager will collaborate with faculty, lecturers, visiting artists, students, and staff to produce six full productions per academic year and a number of other events in three buildings. Additionally, the Production Manager will liaise with the larger Stanford community in regards to the use of TAPS spaces and facilities. Core tasks include financial management, HR, scheduling, information management, and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate a positive outlook on continuous process improvement efforts while maintaining a team-based and customer-focused mindset. It is critical that the person in this position exhibit sound judgment and decision-making, effective written and oral communication, strong attention to detail, and respectful relationship management. They must also exhibit a strong desire to learn new and unfamiliar business topics, policies, and procedures as they relate to Production Management – the ability to translate this information into operational successes will be critical.

Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external university partners.
Act as department representative at cross‐departmental project meetings.
Operate as account manager on deliverables, program metrics, and status reports.
Work cross‐departmentally to prepare and manage complex program budgets.
Recommend and schedule events into appropriate off‐campus and on‐campus venues.
Oversee registration strategy and logistics.
May hire and oversee support staff, students, and contingent event staff.
Train and supervise junior event planners in proper execution and implementation of events.

Qualifications - External

Job Description The Senior Finance Manager, Federal Appropriations will be instrumental in driving change by establishing efficient and effective financial processes, along with optimal business structures and systems, to support federal budget, procurement, and accounting operations. The individual will provide in-depth financial analysis and reporting in support of the Kennedy Center’s annual operations plans to achieve current and future program objectives. The individual will oversee and manage compliance with federal acquisitions and appropriations law by establishing strong internal controls and procedures to support and account for federal financial activity. The Senior Finance Manager, Federal Appropriations is also responsible for leading, training, and developing staff and maintaining external relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other third-party partners. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain the Kennedy Center’s federal finance policies and procedures and ensure federal compliance throughout the organization. Create well-documented workflows and processes to ensure the timely obligation of federal funds and payment of invoices in compliance with the applicable Federal law and internal policies. Review new legislation or regulations and communicate applicability to Kennedy Center programs accordingly. Manage reporting and analysis of various quality, retrospective and prospective contract, state, regional, and federal level performance measures. Identify operational improvement opportunities through observation, data analysis, LEAN, Six-Sigma and other process improvement methodologies, and leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve improvements. WORK SCHEDULE This position is included in the County's alternate workweek program, working 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off). Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. This position is eligible for hybrid on-site/telework subject to the Clackamas County Teleworking Policy and based on the Department's business needs.
