If today’s classical music has one true superstar, it’s Yo-Yo Ma. Revered for his brilliant live performances, a string of acclaimed recordings, and his uncanny ability to engage listeners around the world, he is one of the most forceful musical communicators of our time. For this performance, he joins the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and its new music director, Neeme Jarvi, for a dynamic performance of Dvorak’s Cello Concerto. There are only a handful of great concertos written for the cello, and Dvorak’s heads the list-a favorite of audiences and cellists alike. This performance is co-presented by NJPAC and NJSO. 8 pm
