The Burlington County Advisory Council on Women will hold its first “Women’s Walk” to raise funds for homeless prevention education on Sunday, Sept. 24 in Burlington City. The 5K walk will begin at the Promenade along the riverfront at 9am and is open to men, women and children. Freeholder Dawn Marie Addiego has been working with the Council on Women to initiate the walk to raise funds to educate at-risk families about available resources and counseling, such as how to manage credit and debt to help prevent homelessness
