Info:
A premier event will take place at the Aesthetic Realism Foundation in SoHo: on Sunday, August 13, at 2:30 PM, and on Wednesday, August 23, at 7:30 PM, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Ken Kimmelman will present “Film—and “The Art of Enjoying Justice”! Mr. Kimmelman will speak on and show five of his short films. They include the anti-prejudice films The Heart Knows Better, Brushstrokes, and What Does a Person Deserve?, as well as Hot Afternoons Have Been in Montana, the new film of Eli Siegel’s 1925 prize-winning poem. Historian Howard Zinn said of Hot Afternoons: “It matches, in its visual beauty, the elegance of Siegel’s words, and adds the dimension of stunning imagery to an already profound work of art.” A reception with light refreshments will follow.
