This exhibition presents the Old World artistic and architectural traditions of 17th and 18th century wooden synagogues from the shtetls (small towns) of Eastern Europe. It documents a tradition of prayer hall painting, and the continuity between the synagogues and paintings from the Old World to the new. Suggested donation is $10.00/person or $18.00/family
