Each year hundreds of African-American women leaders and achievers participate in the Nia Enterprises Leadership Summit Series to explore this question and share their experiences. The series' mission is to inform and inspire African-American women to reach their full potentials. "Bringing Purpose to Power" will be the theme for three summits this year, in: New York (April 30), Chicago (June 3-4) and Atlanta (October 8).
Each year, Summit participants meet and greet some of today's top authors attend panels on managing their career, money, personal lives and community outreach efforts and enjoy a town hall meeting about power of Black women's voices in the marketplace and media. Previous speakers for the Nia Enterprises Leadership Summit Series include former presidential candidate Carol Moseley Braun, federal judge Ann C. Williams, poet Nikki Giovanni, BET president Debra Lee, ABC Radio personality DeDe McGuire, and dozens of other notables.
